Data protection with DS DATA SYSTEMS

Data protection has moved into public focus not least since the publication of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The legal requirements on a national and international level are becoming increasingly complex and entail a number of unresolved questions. In addition to the requirements of data protection laws, the processing of personal data must comply with the provisions of labour law, criminal law, telecommunications law and other laws. All relevant corporate units and departments must be involved at an early stage to ensure compliance.

Our data protection consultants and certified data protection officers are at your side to help identify the legal requirements for your company, implement optimal and tailored implementation solutions, and establish an effective and targeted data protection management system.

For over 30 years, DS DATA SYSTEMS has been the expert for information security, IT/OT security, data protection and security systems for medium-sized companies and international corporations, regardless of size and industry, as well as for federal and state governments.

The GDPR poses the major challenge to companies, institutions and authorities to sustainably increase and provide proof of their overall data protection standing in order to avoid reputational and financial risks.

We offer the following data protection services:

We continue to be long-standing partners for our clients and think of ourselves as a strong and trusted cooperation partner to help solve the challenges of data protection together with you. Always goal-oriented, practical and cost-oriented.

Data protection GAP analysis

A GAP analysis compares the current state of your data protection standard and compares this to the requirements of the applicable data protection laws. This uncovers problem areas quickly and allows for the prioritization of remedying issues.

Are you concerned that you are not meeting all the requirements in your organization? We can help you identify the gaps in your data protection management system. This will allow us to create a basis for further implementation of measures together.

Data protection management systems

Almost every company is under a legal duty to establish a data protection management system under which it operates. This primarily includes the internally defined rules for the implementation of data protection requirements.

We help you establish and implement a functioning data protection management system, of course always taking into account the EU-DSGVO, BDSG, state data protection laws and other interfaces, in order to organise your data protection measures together with you.

Individual services for data protection

In order to implement the data protection requirements of international and national laws, a large number of different data protection considerations must be made.

We can work alongside you to identify specific data protection topics that need improvement and implement them together, taking into account the necessary interfaces to your data protection management system.

Data protection officers.

Regardless of your work field, our TÜV/GDDcert/GDDcert EU-certified employees can perform the role of external data protection officer in your company.

In addition, there is the option of coaching your internal data protection officer(s) to assist to help them improve their knowledge and develop the required expertise.

Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG)

Since mid-2023, all companies, public bodies and/or authorities with 250 or more employees have been legally obliged to implement the requirements of the Whistleblower Protection Act. For smaller companies (50-249 employees), there was a grace period until mid-December 2023.

With the new Whistleblower Act, the German government wants to offer comprehensive protection to whistleblowers in the professional environment, who make an important contribution to uncovering and punishing wrongdoing by reporting violations in the company. As a result, the previously incomplete and inadequate protection of whistleblowers will be expanded.

We will be happy to advise you in this regard, especially on the implementation of legal requirements and the data protection compliance of your individual solution, but also on general questions.
